Dr. Lumpkin is a native of Savannah, Georgia and has been in private practice since 1986. Dr. Lumpkin became a pioneer in Cobb County when she opened her private practice and became the first African-American dentist in Cobb County. When not immersing himself in the technical aspects of patient care, he enjoys giving back to the academic community, as well as the general community. He has served as a mentor to minority students at his alma mater in medicine and dentistry and also enjoys volunteer opportunities along the lines of helping all aspiring professionals achieve their highest potential. Because he believes good dental health and a confident smile is for everyone, he has provided volunteer dental services to projects that focus on underserved communities. The general warmth and kindness of his personality shine through in his connection to all of his patients as he strives to give everyone the best care available.
Dr. Payandeh is an active member of organized dentistry and holds memberships in the American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, the Hinman Dental Society, and the Academy of General Dentistry. He takes great pride in belonging to groups that foster his interests and channel his talents to improve the health and well-being of all patients.
When not treating patients, Dr. Payandeh loves outdoor activities. He is an avid hiker and gardener. The doctor and his trusty golden retriever/collie mix “Jasper”, are always looking for good weather. He likes to joke that while he is enjoying the great outdoors, he is also on the lookout for the best restaurants in Atlanta. His African-American and Persian heritage lead him to be drawn into the multi-cultural foodie scenes in Atlanta , home-town seafood dives of Louisiana and any city that has a robust restaurant vibe.

Dr. Lumpkin is a native of Savannah, Georgia and has been in private practice since 1986. She has completed courses both nationally and internationally in cosmetic, restorative dentistry and dental sleep medicine and continues to seek out the best training on the latest treatment methods in these areas. She has a special interest in whole body dentistry and the connection between dental health and general health. Highly dedicated to patient care, she is a member of several organizations founded with a commitment to excellence in all phases of dentistry. A leader in organized dentistry, she has held key positions in the Georgia Dental Association as Peer Review/ Ethics Committee Chairman for the Northwest District of the state. Dr. Lumpkin became a pioneer in Cobb County when she opened her private practice and became the first African-American dentist in Cobb County. Global Dentistry
Dr. Lumpkin has taken courses, studied dentistry and participated in extra-curricular dental interests in various parts of the world. One of the doctor’s extracurricular interests has taken her beyond our national borders to a dental clinic in Costa Rica. She set up the clinic for a personal friend and owner of a coffee plantation in Costa Rica. The plantation, highly respected in the coffee industry as producers of “the most finely prepared coffee in the world”. The Clinic is named the “Henry Laprade Wissel Clinica Medica y Dental de la Hacienda La Minita”. It is located about forty miles SW of San Jose, Costa Rica in a mountainous small town named Bustamonte. The clinic serves the workers of Hacienda La Minita coffee plantation. Not only did Dr. Lumpkin set up the clinic on the coffee plantation, she has written articles for coffee trade magazines and participated in a documentary about fine coffee. Other dental educational and professional studies have taken her to Europe to include Oslo, Norway (Endodontic Study), Copenhagen, Denmark (Copenhagen Dental Symposium), France, Italy, as well as, Costa Rica (University of Costa Rica Dental School).
